Please be aware that if you have created a MyGov account and linked it to MyTax, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has advised that any assessments or other important information will be delivered to your MyGov inbox and not directly to us as it has been in the past.
If you would like our office to continue to receive and monitor your ATO correspondence on your behalf, we recommend that you take the following steps:
- Login to your MyGov account
- Unlink Australian Taxation Office from your account
It is important to note that if you do not unlink the Australian Taxation Office, the ATO will send all correspondence directly to you only. This means our office will not be able to attend to any issues that may arise, in a timely manner, if required.
To ensure your tax affairs continue to be compliant, up to date and free from ATO errors, please take the above steps to unlink your account asap.
